The ArtWine label was established in 2008 by Judy and Glen Kelly, with Glen’s vineyard ownership dating back to 1997. Prior to launching their label, they sold fruit to iconic Australian brands and continue to do so today. All wines produced by ArtWine are estate-grown.

Artwine has two vineyards in Clare Valley, as well as a third vineyard in Adelaide Hills that houses its new, architecturally-designed cellar door. One of the Clare Valley locations features beautiful vineyard accommodation.

With the first commercial production taking place in 2010, the vineyard won its first trophies from wines produced in the extremely difficult 2011 vintage. In its short existence, ArtWine has won three trophies, including the 2011 Winestate magazine trophy for Best Pinot Gris/Grigio in Australia and New Zealand, as well as numerous medals.

With a focus on new and emerging varieties, ArtWine is one of only a handful of wineries in Australia that produces graciano and fiano, as well as a number of other varieties that are relatively new to Australia. ArtWine also grows traditional riesling, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, shiraz and grenache. The winery will add montepulciano to its production in 2015 and prosecco in 2016, followed shortly by albarino and blaufränkisch.

ArtWine’s modern, purpose-built cellar door offers an undercover outdoor terrace and a large lawn area with incredible views over the vines to Mount Lofty. The cellar door also offers platters daily and sells wine accessories, wine-scented candles, books, gifts and artworks by local South Australian artist Suzie Riley.
