The Little Red Grape

The Little Red Grape is a unique combination of a cellar door, homewares store and bakery all in one location. The business was established three years ago by Dorham Pfeiffer, who has been in the industry for many years.

Located in the picturesque town of Sevenhill, a former 1800s butcher shop and cottage have been transformed to accommodate the cellar door and homewares store. The bakery and café are housed in a tasteful extension to the property.

Referred to as a ‘trilogy of delights’, The Little Red Grape is complete with beautiful
gardens and a large lawn area. In addition to its own wine label, The Little Red Grape also represents other small-to-medium producers that don’t have a cellar door in the area.

The homewares store offers a gorgeous array of décor and accessories, including jewellery, scarves, handbags, soaps, candles, stationery and interior furnishings. The carefully- selected range of creative and inspiring pieces is ideal for finding the perfect gift.

With an on-site bakery, The Little Red Grape serves a delicious assortment of artisan breads, cakes, fruit tarts, muffins, pies and sandwiches. The food can be purchased as take-away or enjoyed inside the bakery or even outside on the veranda and lawn area.

Offering a fantastic combination of food, wine and retail, The Little Red Grape is the perfect one-stop tourist destination.

2012 The Little Red Grape Grenache

As with all wines from The Little Red Grape, there is a focus on fruit and true varietal character. This grenache showcases what Clare Valley red wines are all about: soft, elegant and fruit-driven, with the use of slightly older oak to give the wine a nice level of complexity.

2014 Wykari Riesling

A classic Clare Valley riesling displaying a fruit-driven aromatic nose. The palate is clean and crisp, exhibiting a lively mix of classic citrus and unique tropical flavours. Green apple is also present on the nose and palate. The wine has an excellent balance of acid and sweetness that delivers a clean and appealing finish.

2014 Rieslingfreak No. 3 Reverence of Riesling

Harvested from the family vineyard in White Hut, a sub-region of Clare Valley. Riesling grown in this unique region has big and rich fruit flavours. This wine provides up-front fruit, passionfruit, ripe lemons and limes, pear and a hint of mint. It drinks exceptionally well now, but will reward with long-term cellaring.

2009 Seraph’s Crossing Shiraz

Harvested from an individual vineyard at the southern end of Clare Valley using natural winemaking techniques, this wine is a true example of a full-bodied shiraz. The minimalistic approach to winemaking shows through in the rich fruit character and complexity of the wine. To ensure none of this is lost, the wine is unfiltered.
