2014 Eldredge Blue Chip Shiraz

Ripe blueberry and blood plum fruits have spent some time in quality oak and the resulting wine is spicy, creamy, polished, glossy and perfectly-balanced. As you work a bit of air into the wine, some licorice and leather notes come to the fore. The length of flavour is admirable.

2013 Eldredge RL Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine exhibits complex aromas of wild sage, tobacco, cassis, blueberry and sweet cedar, as well as aniseed and cinnamon from the well-seasoned oak. It is full, round and creamy in the mouth, with a palate full of ripe berry fruits and no hard edges. There is a strand of vanilla weaving through the flavour profile. This wine is an inviting, warming red of good character.

2015 Eldredge Riesling

The drinker’s nose is caressed by a big bowl of fruit upon first sniff of this riesling. Some of the more classic Clare Valley lime and talc traits are playing in the background. It is plump, generous and fruity with immediate generosity and accessibility. Acidity is relatively soft and the whole package possesses good balance.

2012 Eldredge JD Sangiovese

A little piece of Tuscany meets the Clare Valley thanks to this fabulous 2012 JD Sangiovese. It features some of the things that Australian palates are in tune with, including warm berry fruits and slick vanillin oak. The wine also displays sour cherry and some savoury meat notes that are found in wines from the classic Chianti region. It is full, creamy and juicy with soft tannins.
