Simon Hackett Wines

With a vision to create his own boutique label, Simon Hackett established Simon Hackett Wines in 1984. Today the winery crushes grapes grown in the McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills regions of South Australia, and produces a range of rich, bold, innovative wines.

Simon Hackett Wines is situated on the hill as you enter the McLaren Vale region, and is the perfect place to spend a leisurely afternoon. The winery specialises in regional and varietal blends, including white varieties such as its Rusty’s Revenge Sauvignon Blanc, Brightview Chardonnay and Brightview Pinot Grigio. The winery’s distinguished red varieties include its Old Vine Grenache, Hillsview Shiraz, and Hillsview Cabernet Sauvignon.

Simon Hackett Wines features a picturesque, north-facing cellar door which is bathed in natural light and has a long, arched verandah that overlooks the vines and gorgeous rural landscape.

Simon Hackett Adelaide Hills Rusty’s Revenge Sauvignon Blanc

This wine is very lifted and expressive, with citrus blossom, guava and lycee. Aromatic and beautifully balanced, the fruits are just as lively on the palate with citrus acidity and mineral notes

Simon Hackett McLaren Vale Anthony’s Reserve Shiraz

Ripe plum, blackcurrant, dusty cherry edges and toasted oak form the lifted flavours of this impressively structured wine. This shiraz is rich, powerful and concentrated, but is also robust and delicious. This wine will certainly enjoy bottle maturation
