1847 Winery Chateau Yaldara

Known for its beautiful architecture and surrounding gardens, Chateau Yaldara is arguably one of the most photographed buildings in the Barossa Valley. Purchased in 2014 by 1847 Wines, the unique building has several private tasting rooms available to the public.

Be sure to visit the elegant wine room, where you can sample a wide array of award- winning styles from the 1847 Wines and Chateau Yaldara ranges. Both brands are recognised for their fortified wines, which range from ten to 40 years old.

Specialising in shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, grenache, semillon, chardonnay and aged tawny, 1847 Wines Chateau Yaldara has something for everyone. Covering more than 80 hectares under vine, it’s no wonder the impressive winery achieved a 5-star rating in the Halliday Wine Companion 2017.

1847 Wines Chateau Yaldara also offers guests the opportunity to book a guided tour of the spectacular winery. Bookings for this rare experience are essential to avoid missing out.

Located on the banks of the North Para River at Chateau Yaldara, Hermann’s Restaurant is nestled within the beautiful natural landscape of the Barossa Valley. Enjoy a modern Australian menu of the finest South Australian produce. The menu features a seasonal blend of traditional and contemporary dishes, which can be paired with award-winning regional wines.

Guided tours can be arranged by appointment. On weekends, Hermann's Restaurant offers a wider range of delicious options from its sharing menu.

Chateau Yaldara Foundations Shiraz

The Foundations range is the cornerstone of the Chateau Yaldara brand. This luscious Barossa Valley shiraz bursts with spicy oak aromas, which are enveloped by intense plum fruits. A rich and chocolatey mocha palate draws you back for a second glass.

Chateau Yaldara Barossa Valley Cabernet Franc

Using special parcels of fruit, the Chateau Yaldara winemakers can create wines of style, elegance and finesse. This wine shows flavours full of choc-mint, with hints of violet and dark cherry.

1847 Wines Pappy’s Paddock Cabernet Sauvignon

This classic Barossa Valley cabernet displays intense eucalyptus and cedar aromas. The palate is rich and mouth filling from ripe and sweet fruit; predominantly blackcurrant, mint and herbal notes. Fine and velvety tannins combine with careful oak treatment to provide texture and length.

1847 Wines Emma Lydia Semillon

Created with fruit from the winery’s Rowland Flat vineyards, this semillon is full of flavour and intensity when young, but will reward cellaring for five to seven years. With a nose of grapefruit, citrus and hints of flintiness, the wine finishes with a palate of clean, zesty acid and toasty fruit.
