With vast lawn areas surrounding the front of the property, Lindsay Wine Estate is an ideal location for familes who want to play croquet together or lounge in deck chairs and enjoy the serenity.

Producing 18 different varieties of wine per year, Lindsay Wine Estate caters to all budgets and tastes. From those looking for casual drinking options, to discerning buyers who are interested in exclusive estate-grown wines, the winery has something for everyone. Visitors to the estate are able to purchase wines and relax in the landscaped gardens while enjoying select cheeses and homemade charcuterie.

Although the winery prefers its customers’ opinions, Lindsay Wine Estate humbly received 4.5 stars from Winestate Magazine in 2017 for its 2014 The Sumit Shiraz and 2015 Selector Shiraz.

When available, staff members will happily take visitors through the barrel shed for a taste of Lindsay Wine Estate’s premium red wines, straight from the barrel.

TASTING NOTES

2016 Edge of the World Eden Valley Riesling

The 2016 Edge of the World Eden Valley Riesling is produced from one of the finest vineyards in the Eden Valley sub-region of High Eden. This wine embodies classic lifted notes of citrus rind and apple, as well as mineral characters, and finishes with crisp, natural acid tones. Enjoy now or cellar for up to ten years and enjoy its complexity.

2017 Balcony Rosé

Made from free-run cabernet juice that was soaked on the skins for six hours to imbue a light-pink colour with copper hues, the 2017 Balcony Rosé is abundant with strawberries and peach on the nose. It offers a light, natural sweetness, with tones of musk and stone fruit. Enjoy this semi-dry wine chilled and in its youth.

2015 The Sumit Shiraz

This premium shiraz has a bright, deep colour with purple-red hues. Dense, plump and juicy dark berries on the nose are enhanced with a hint of spice on the palate. This full-bodied wine has a long and fine palate, with soft, gentle and chalky tannins that linger and tantalise the mouth.

2014 LWE Merlot

Boasting a stunning feminine perfume on the nose, which leads to a delicate combination of rich and vibrant fruit characters, the 2014 LWE Merlot lingers intensely on the palate. In contrast to the elegance of its nose, what makes this merlot incomparable is its strong backbone, which was created by the hands of Lindsay Wine Estate’s winemakers.
