Greenock Creek Wines

Greenock Creek Wines was established in 1988 by Micheal and Annabelle Waugh, and its first release consisted of only two wines. Its collection has since grown to include seven more.

Each wine by Greenock Creek Wines is treated with special care and attention to retain its unique characteristics. Now an iconic name in the wine industry, Greenock Creek Wines is known worldwide for its premium red wines, including the flagship Roennfeldt Road Shiraz and Roennfeldt Road Cabernet Sauvignon.

The grapes in the dry-grown vineyards at Greenock Creek Wines are kept separate for each wine label. All wines are produced from the Greenock Creek Wines vineyard, making them truly estate-grown. As the winery does not purchase grapes, production can vary from year to year. This is just one of the many traits that make the winery unique.

Greenock Creek Wines currently has 24 hectares under vine and is producing one grenache, one mataro, two cabernet sauvignons and five shiraz varieties each year. Impressively, the Roennfeldt Road Shiraz and Roennfeldt Road Cabernet Sauvignon were submitted to Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and received a perfect score of 100 points on six occasions. This achievement shows the high level of quality to which Greenock Creek Wines adheres.

Having expanded in 2016 with the opening of a new cellar door in the heart of Marananga, Greenock Creek Wines now runs the impressive Marananga Cottages. The charming cottages have had a full renovation and overlook picturesque gardens. Bookings can be made online.

As the winery continues to evolve and improve with age – just like its wines – Greenock Creek Wines invites you to come along for the journey.
