Edenmae Estate Wine

Situated on the southern crest of Eden Valley, Edenmae Estate is a highly-regarded boutique winery that uses minimal intervention in the growing process to produce unique wines full of character. Sitting between the iconic Barossa Valley and the cool- climate region of Adelaide Hills, Edenmae Estate creates wine varieties with vigour.

Averaging 1000 cases of wines per year grown from 12 hectares under vine, Edenmae Estate has established itself as an asset to the Eden Valley region. Specialising in sparkling, riesling, pinot noir, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon varieties, the winery’s estate was planted 40 years ago, but has been established as Edenmae Estate for eight years. The winery believes in the importance of natural processes, with a particular interest in sustainable practices and chemical-free, dry-grown wines.

Edenmae Estate’s cellar door is located in Springton and offers a portfolio of tastings, as well as platters and coffee. Character-driven and quaint, the cellar door is open over weekends and is available by appointment for large groups.

At Edenmae Estate, 100 acres of the property homes alpacas, lambs and ponies, as well as plantations and native regeneration zones. As well as this, the estate runs a family-friendly guest cottage named Edenmae Vinestay. Here, visitors can relax in the outdoor spa while sipping on a glass of estate sparkling, and enjoy the view of studded old gum trees and eucalypt plantations. A stay at Edenmae Vinestay can prove to be the perfect excuse to sample some of the finest wine Eden Valley has to offer.

2014 Edenmae Vintage Cuvée

Early 2014 saw unseasonal rain and warm temperatures. Within a 12-hour window, Edenmae Estate handpicked all of its estate pinot and estate riesling. The riesling has added a pretty dimension to its ever popular vintage cuvée! This little number displays essence of rose, lime and strawberries in its youth, embracing chardonnay dominance on maturity.

2013 Edenmae Pinot Noir

The year of 2013 saw the winery’s pinot block allocated to a full- bodied red. This wine has been basket pressed and married with new and seasoned French oak for a full 12 months. The winery believes this pinot noir is one of the boldest in Australia and proves the most popular at the cellar door. Drink now or cellar for up to ten years.

2013 Edenmae Riesling

A delicate wine from start to finish. The press was stopped early to capture only premium juice, with pressings reserved for fortified riesling stocks. Drink young while crisp and full of Eden Valley citrus punch. For those who seek a little alone time with a mature and sensible riesling, pop to the side for a bit of cellaring.

2012 Edenmae Maluka Shiraz

This premium label came to life when the potential of its various shiraz blocks was realised. Dry- grown with minimal intervention, all parcels see a full two years on French oak, with blending trials selecting only a few outstanding barrels. Best paired with a great mate, tender beef burgundy and a crackling fire. Enjoy now or cellar for a good ten years.
