A small family winery located in the iconic Barossa Valley, Glen Eldon Wines has built a reputation for producing rich and flavoursome wines that embody a real sense of place. Famous for its powerful and delicious shiraz, the Barossa Valley region has been successfully utilised by Glen Eldon Wines to produce an outstanding drop.

The Sheedy family established the winery in 1997, managing 35 hectares of vines on-site, with each vineyard broken down into blocks . With some of the property’s vineyards planted in the late-1800s, Glen Eldon Wines produces classic Barossa Valley red varieties, as well as small batches of very rare and special vineyard wines. The winery is proud to lovingly create handcrafted wines with texture, power, finesse and elegance.

Spanning over 18 years in the industry, Glen Eldon Wines has amassed an impressive list of awards. A range of trophies, and gold, silver and bronze medals are among its accolades, as well as being consistently regarded as a 5-star winery by James Halliday. Glen Eldon Wines was also recently awarded the Barossa Trust Mark for its Dry Bore Shiraz.

A visit to the cellar door will ensure you discover all that Glen Eldon Wines has to offer. Its Dry Bore Society is available to its most loyal customers, entitling them to private winery tours and tastings from the barrels, as well as exclusive invitations to new-release and vertical dinners. Glen Eldon Wines also occasionally has pieces of art and woodwork available for purchase at the cellar door.

2012 Glen Eldon Kicking Back Cabernet Shiraz

This wine is a traditional, full-bodied red from Barossa Valley. Quality fruit is combined with traditional winemaking methods and modern technology to produce a consistently great cabernet shiraz year-in, year- out. This is a classic Australian blend.

2012 Glen Eldon Dry Bore Shiraz

Dry-grown vineyards in the heart of Barossa Valley and the heights of Eden Valley continue to impress, producing small, yet concentrated bunches of premium shiraz. The fruit combined with traditional winemaking, open fermentation, basket pressing and barrel maturation crafts this iconic shiraz. The Dry Bore Shiraz offers the soul of Barossa Valley at exceptional value for money.

2012 Glen Eldon Eight Barrels Shiraz

Selected from the finest barrels at Glen Eldon’s homestead. Demonstrating the essence of Eden Valley shiraz, this wine offers all of the hallmark shiraz characters of chocolate, plum, spice, white pepper and silky fine tannins. Exceptional balance and structure offers great drinking today, however medium-cellaring will offer fantastic drinking.

2006 Glen Eldon Twisted Trunk Reserve Shiraz

Created from 100-year-old vines. The fruit is sorted, de-stemmed and fermented in 300-litre hogsheads. Each ferment is tendered to by hand, racked into new French and American hogsheads for 12 months, then racked again into hogsheads for three-year maturation. This allows the ripe fruit flavours to shine through and mature naturally.
